I swear, I do not intend this to cover friends and fam from Tassy, they were the only thing that kept me sane when I lived down there, but Tasmanian general public attitudes and politics are like a magnified microcosm of the worst of Australian right wing politics and culture. The worst of Queensland but without the mitigating warm weather.

Even poor "Fatso" is being driven mad enough by the place that he'd rather risk his life swimming to Victoria. Swim, "Fatso!" Swim for your life! It's not perfect here, but it is a way better place than the "inbred isle."
