The "known knowns" of 2024-YR4. There's no need to panic, it's not a planet killer, it can potentially be "nudged" it'sn't going to end civilisation.

Turns out I'd doubled up on close tags, but I've had perfect valid HTML give me the same s*** in other posts. Blogger works nicely with YouTube embeds, not because it's blogger, but because it's 100% html standards compliant. One on 2 youtube embeds fail on "D-dub" for me, and I'm copying directly from youtube in the browser's "blog embed" option or sharing from my mac via text clipboard and imessage from browser to iphone. (Largely because the youtube app won't share to Safari and won't give me the blog compatible text in either Safari or the Youtube app.) Be it Safari on my iPhone or Chrome on my Mac. Both are standards compliant browsers, webkit and blink, respectively.
I whinge a bit, but we're moving into the midcentury, yet the technocrats still assume a phone is not a computer. My iphone, a crumby SE3 from 2 years ago, has more computing cores and power than my previous 2013 intel Mac, I machine that only got replaced because of its first gen butterfly keyboard failing. Its compute capabilities were still fine.
Why can't the technocrats treat phone users like grownups and give them the same tools as their laptops. Nobody's going to use a phone for a laptop's job, there's not market cannibalisation realistically likely from a 3.7" screen compared to 13" or larger screen. It's just handy to be able to do the same stuff on the portable device when your laptop's at home.
I'm frankly sick of the tech sector treating us like shit. "Steve Jobs" fired engineers for less than this.
