A DW user I follow, ysabetwordsmith has compiled what looks like a pretty handy link index for how to survive 3° climate change. She's based in the USA, but the more general information is also useful for those outside stateside.

If I can put some of my other projects down for a minute. I might try to localise a copy to Australia/New Zealand. Don't expect it in a hurry, but it just got added to my projects list.

I've been reading widely about "greenhouse effect" since I started high school and joined a science club. That was 1973. A few years before, as a 9 or 10 year old, I picked up a book mum left lying around and read it, had nightmares for months. That book was "The Population Bomb," a weighty tome on overpopulation and environmental catastrophe. Paul Ehrlich, the author, mentions greenhouse gasses in passing there, too. And lets not forget, the mathematician, La Place, was the first to codify greenhouse effect mathematically, although, he thought it might have benefits of bringing a "healthy tropical climate" to Europe. To be fair, this was before the world became hyper-industrialised, so his naivety can be forgiven.

And here we are. Staring down the barrel of three degrees celcius.

"Oh, but we've only known for 30 years!" Politicians and the greedy bastards who buy them, hey. #WeAreFucked. Those of us who've been trying to do our best have been let down by everybody else. Plenty have written songs about it, too, like this one.
